The 2020 races start and finish at Stoller Family Estate in the fine wine town of Dayton, Oregon.
Both the half and quarter marathon follow rural country roads, eight Dundee Hills fine wine vineyards and a little gravel tossed in. Did we mention there are a few hills in the Dundee Hills (naturally)? This year’s course, like all prior courses, will challenge the runner/walker with a few breathtaking climbs…but the views will make it worth it! Bring your camera phones, a few friends and enjoy this fun fine wine departure from an ordinary half marathon. Wear your off-road shoes as this course has more vineyard dirt then paved roads! Need some trail shoe recommendations? Ask your experts at Foot Traffic! Race director and Foot Traffic owner, Sean Rivers, ran this event himself in 2019 and had this to say: “If you like flat, paved courses, this may not be for you. But if you LOVE challenging yourself, fawn over jaw-dropping views, want to be pampered by over 20 wineries at the finish, and don’t mind getting a little dust on your legs, you will be back year after year! I wore my Saucony Peregrine trail shoes and they were awesome for this kind of varied course.”
